Spanish artist, Alfredo Gisbert, was born in the provence of Alicante in 1949. He first studied painting at the age of 18 at the Escuela de Arts y Oficios de Alcoy. Upon graduating, he became a carpenter, but continued his study of painting and returned to school several years later at San Carlos of Valencia. There he was a pupil of Emilio Sala and Fernando Cabrera. There is a great texture and movement in his artistic formation and style states Dr. Edmundo Jorda, professor of the Industrial School. Alfredo Gisbert holds to a group of artistic disciplines, inspired by his drive to push the limits of natural tendencies taught by the schools he attended. His goal is to leave remains of sincerity in each new painting he creates. He is a representational landscape artist, favoring Spanish rooftop villages and abstract floral paintings of remarkable, vivid color - straight from the brush and palette knife.
